As a working woman, I’ve always supported my husband and daughter since we married. Unfortunately, he wasn’t employed and struggled with alcohol, often mismanaging our finances. Three years ago, he suffered a stroke, and I spent nearly 3 lakhs on his treatment, taking loans from friends and my company. I’m still paying off that debt. I’m planning to buy a vacant plot using a home loan. The seller is asking for half the amount upfront to create a preliminary agreement, but isn’t giving anything in writing.
