In Greater Noida West, builders are demanding an additional 20% of the basic price at the time of possession, claiming it’s for escalation and farmer compensation. They included a one-sided agreement mentioning the “company can raise any additional demand at any time”. They say they paid farmer compensation in 2012 and resumed work in 2013, paying more. However, this hike wasn’t disclosed until possession, kept hidden for four years. This seems like a clear case of cheating and fraud.My questions are:1. A group is approaching the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC). How long will it take approximately to resolve the case?2. My additional payment is around â‚¹4 lakhs. Can I file a case in the District Court and also in the NCDRC?3. If the group is going to the NCDRC, can I file a separate case in the District Court as an individual?4. How long will it take approximately for a case to be resolved in the District Court?

My grandmother’s father owned properties passed down through generations. After 2005, my uncles started selling these properties. Both my grandmother and grandfather passed away before 1980. There was no official division of the property during their lifetime. All the grandsons are selling the property and refusing to give anything to the granddaughters. Can my mother claim her share? How does the recent Supreme Court ruling by Justices Anil R Dave and Adarsh K Goel impact this situation? My builder in Noida has asked for the final 60% payment for my flat bought under a 40:60 payment plan. However, they haven’t given me possession yet, and the Occupancy Certificate (OC) hasn’t been issued. They’re promising possession and the OC after I pay, but I’m worried because I chose the 40:60 plan to avoid this risk. They’re also threatening penalties if I don’t pay. What are my options? Should I send a legal notice or go to the consumer forum/Noida Authority? Will I have to pay penalties if I don’t pay the final amount? Can the builder demand the final payment without offering possession or the OC? I’m really concerned.
