I’ve been trying to obtain the land records (ROR) for my agricultural land in [village name] from the Tahsildar’s office since 1963. They provided records from 1984 onwards, but said they don’t have them for the period between 1963 and 1983. If the records are truly missing, where can I find them? My land was acquired in 1987. The Collector awarded compensation under Section 11, but I protested and appealed to the Reference Court. They increased the compensation. The government challenged this in the High Court, but the court upheld the increase in 2012. However, the enhanced amount is still unpaid. Can I argue that since I objected to the initial payment under Section 11, it was never fully paid and my case should be considered lapsed under the new Land Acquisition Act of 2013?

My father passed away in 2010, leaving behind two pieces of land and an ancestral house. My mother and sister are the other legal heirs. We have updated the ownership records for the 9-acre non-agricultural land in our names. The 10-acre agricultural land was jointly owned by my father and mother, and now my sister and I have inherited his share. However, my sister is demanding half of the ancestral house, which is still in my grandfather’s name. He passed away in 2009 and left a will giving my father a 25% share. My society isn’t officially registered. Mr. A owned a flat here, which he sold to Mr. B and Mr. C in 1992. They used a stamp paper worth â‚¹2,000 for the agreement, but it wasn’t registered. The sale price was â‚¹2,00,000. Later, Mr. C sold his share back to Mr. B in 2000, using a â‚¹20 stamp paper for a price of â‚¹1.5 lakh. Now, Mr. B wants me to issue bills from June 2016 in his name.
