We signed a deal to buy 65 acres of land in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, with the closing date set for October 15th, 2016. However, we discovered that 10 acres of the land cannot be registered due to legal restrictions. The seller insists we buy the remaining 55 acres, but we want to purchase the entire 65 acres or nothing at all. My grandfather passed away recently, leaving behind a large plot of agricultural land that was divided unequally among his children. My father received 5 acres, my uncle received 10 acres, my other uncle received 5 acres, and my aunt received 9 acres. However, we later discovered that 3 acres of land registered in my grandfather’s name were secretly gifted to my cousin in 2015 without our consent. This land belonged to my great-grandfather and was inherited by my grandfather. My father sold 2 acres of his land, and my other uncle sold 1 acre of his. As the only daughter, I’m concerned about the unequal distribution and the land given away without our knowledge. Do we have any legal recourse to challenge this distribution and reclaim the land given away?

I’m looking to buy a plot in Yelahanka, Bangalore, from Mr. Gowda, a property developer. He’s selling it based on a GPA (General Power of Attorney) from Rajappa, who is the owner according to the EC (Extract of Certified Copy).However, I’m a bit concerned because the Supreme Court recently ruled against the validity of GPAs.
