My grandfather built a house and sadly passed away. It was inherited by my grandmother, who has two children, my father and his sister. The house has three floors. My grandmother’s will states that two floors should go to my father and one to his sister. My father recently remarried after separating from my mother.My question is, after my grandmother passes, can my father sell his two floors and I would get nothing from this ancestral property? If he wills one floor to me, what rights does his second wife have over the remaining floor? Can he decide what happens to that floor?

We’re building our house in Ludhiana and our neighbor has filed a case against us, getting a stay order on construction based on untrue claims. They say we encroached on public land (which is completely false and the municipality will verify), that we had a fight (never happened, no police report), and that we damaged a pole (there isn’t even one there!). We have a court hearing on the 18th to dismiss the stay order. If it’s not lifted, what options do we have? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

My sister has been married for 14 years and unfortunately, she doesn’t have children. Sadly, her husband passed away recently. My wife passed away in 2001. We have a son, who is now 35. She inherited a small piece of land from her father in Gangnapur village, Nadia district, West Bengal.
