I’ve purchased one of two flats in a building where the builder allotted a stilt parking space for both units to a single owner. Now, the other owner wants to give up their parking rights. What documents are needed to transfer these rights to me, and is it even possible? Any advice you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Our society in Andheri, Mumbai recently held elections for the new Managing Committee. We have a couple of questions about the results:– Three committee members haven’t lived in the society for the past 5 years. Is their appointment valid?– Can a husband and wife, owning separate flats, both be on the Managing Committee?Please provide the relevant sections of the society’s rules and regulations, as well as any legal advice on the validity of these appointments. I recently bought a plot to build my home. My neighbour has already built their house, but their wall (around 5 inches thick) and some foundation stones are encroaching on my property. I plan to build my house on pillars, and need some of their wall and foundation removed to make space for the pillars. Can I ask my neighbour to do this? If they refuse, can my builder remove it? What are my legal rights in this situation?

Ramu obtained registered power of attorney (GPA) for revenue land from eight farmers on June 14, 1995. He later sold this land to Shyam with a registered sale deed. Shyam then appointed Ramu as his GPA holder through a notary-executed GPA on September 4, 2008. Can Ramu divide this land into plots and sell them individually? Is it legal to buy individual plots from Ramu who holds the GPA? Can Ramu pay stamp duty for an individual plot (not the entire land) as the latest GPA holder (notary) or the previous registered GPA holder before selling it? My grandfather owned a property, which went to my grandmother after his passing. When she got old and ill, my elder uncle took her to the revenue office and allegedly forced her thumbprint to transfer a plot to his wife’s name. My grandmother died soon after. Five years later, we separated and my uncle claimed that the plot was gifted to his wife by my grandmother. We found a thumbprint on the document but can’t confirm if it’s actually my grandmother’s. My father owned a property, and he had three brothers. After his passing, his siblings are demanding a share in the property. I have three payment cheques, but they stole the slip of a Demand Draft (DD) and claim their father made the payment using that DD. The rest of the payments were made in cash. Since the property was purchased by my father, do his siblings have a claim on it? My father worked, but his brothers didn’t, and we rarely interacted. I was born in 1960, making me 58 years old. My father passed away in 1957, just a year after my birth. Now, my paternal aunt, born in 1948, is claiming our ancestral property.
