My family bought an apartment in Kochi back in 2003 from a builder based in Bangalore. The flat was never handed over, and despite years of waiting, we’re still facing this issue. Last year, I had a serious accident in the UAE and lost my job, adding to our hardship. After much pleading, the builder agreed to take the apartment back and promised a refund. However, out of the â‚¹33 lakhs we paid, they’ve only returned â‚¹14 lakhs, even after many follow-ups. Three cheques totaling â‚¹16 lakhs are overdue, and we feel the company is deliberately delaying the payment. They’re aware of our financial struggles and the mounting debts we need to clear. I’m planning to buy a DDA flat in Rohini. While checking the documents, I noticed something unusual. The Intimation letter, Allotment Letter, and CD all mention the property address without a specific pocket, or sometimes even mention “Pocket 0.” However, the possession slip shows the flat’s address as “Pocket 4.” I asked DDA about this, and they said it’s not a problem because the file number matches across all documents. They haven’t given me anything in writing about this difference though. Should I be concerned, or is this a minor issue and I can go ahead with the deal?

Back in 2002, I took out a home loan. Due to tough economic times, I couldn’t keep up with the monthly payments. The bank unfortunately had to sell my house at auction, fetching a lower price than I paid. I wasn’t present at the auction. Now, two years later, the bank is asking me to pay the remaining amount with interest.
