As a group of around 450 employees working in a railway PSU, we were hired through an all-India test and interview process. Our work is permanent in nature, but we’re employed on a contractual basis, with our contracts renewed annually. Some of us have been with the company for over 8 years. I’ve been trying to find a bank job for the past year, but I’m facing a tough hurdle. Most government banks and private companies now require a 60% score in my degree, even government organizations are asking for the same. This makes it incredibly hard for someone like me, from the general category, to find opportunities. I was unfairly dismissed by REC in 1992 based on an incomplete investigation. They didn’t reveal that my travel allowance claim was never even processed, a fact they only admitted in 2014. This claim was the main reason for my dismissal, forming the basis of three out of six charges, which also included some old, baseless accusations. Since 2014, I’ve been trying to reopen the case but haven’t been successful. Can I approach the courts again, given this new information? I joined Nutricia International Pvt Limited on 15th January 2015 and resigned on 2nd June 2015. Despite repeated follow-ups, the head office hasn’t responded regarding my full and final settlements. My May 2015 travel expenses of Rs. 10,000 are still unpaid. Also, according to my payslip and appointment letter, Rs. 1,300 was deducted monthly for PF, totaling Rs. 6,000 from my salary. As per the appointment letter, the company was supposed to contribute an equal amount of Rs. 6,000, making the total PF amount Rs. 12,000 with interest.
