My father passed away in January 2013, and I’m the legal heir to his property. He had a joint bank account with his daughter-in-law (my eldest brother’s wife) opened in 2009 under an “Either or Survivor” mandate at a major private bank. My family and I have been living in our flat for over two decades, ever since my father was allotted this plot by the Mathura Development Authority.
