My friend and I started a business in June 2013. He went silent, and I thought the company was finished. But then I learned he’d been running it on his own for almost a year, making deals with clients in the US and even travelling there! I can’t get in touch with him now. I want to shut down the company (it’s an LLP registered in Bangalore) and hold him accountable for using our company records to make money without my knowledge. We are equal partners with 50% shares each. What steps should I take to dissolve the company and recover some of the profits he unfairly earned?

I joined a private coaching institute in India as a teacher with a two-year contract. To secure the job, I gave them two undated cheques, one for each year of the contract. I left after eighteen months without prior notice. They deposited the second cheque, but I had stopped payment. They then sent me a notice and filed a case against me. They didn’t provide any training, and I didn’t take any loan from them. I needed the job, and they wouldn’t offer it without the undated cheques. After I left, they rearranged my classes and covered the course with another teacher. They didn’t suffer any financial loss due to my departure. I’m facing a really tough situation. I’ve been through a lot of mental stress at work because of the bad work culture and office politics. I refuse to play that game and it’s taken a toll on me. Respected Sir,I understand that government employees can be suspended if they remain in custody for over 48 hours. I was previously suspended for this reason but the suspension was lifted within a month, even though the criminal case was ongoing. I’ve been working as a data entry operator at the Income Tax Department in Amritsar for the past eight years. I was selected for the Assistant post in LIC’s recruitment process back in 1994. LIC offered me temporary appointments in 1997 and 1998 for over 100 days.
