I’ve been with my current company since May 2015. After a year, they sent me to China with the factory head for a 5-day training program. I worked for a Mumbai-based securities firm in Chennai. My notice period was 30 days, but I was only able to work for 20 due to my reporting manager’s delayed departure. My resignation date was postponed because of this, and HR didn’t mention any salary deductions during our phone call. However, they later deducted 10 days’ worth of salary, claiming it was company policy.
