Dear Sir, I’m hoping you can help me understand a situation regarding government policy. The government announced a policy on June 16th, 2014, to regularize contractual employees who had completed three years of service by May 28th, 2014, and were still working for the government. I worked for a US-based IT services company listed on NASDAQ, at their India development center. In January 2016, they transferred me to the US on an L1A visa, keeping me on their payroll. I resigned in July 2016 due to personal reasons. Before leaving, I had accumulated some leave travel benefits in India.
