My husband and I are both Indian Catholics. He’s filed a case against me based on false accusations. The truth is, he’s having an affair with a Danish woman in Dubai and wants a divorce to marry her. The Dubai case is nearing its final verdict, and I’m deeply unhappy with the outcome. They’ve already granted him a divorce. My final judgment date is January 29th. He’s supposed to pay maintenance in Dubai, but I fear he’ll negotiate heavily and end up paying nothing for me or my 13-year-old daughter.My questions are:1. Can I file a case in Mumbai at this stage?2. How will this affect our joint property in Mumbai and Goa? My father paid for 80% of the Mumbai property, and I’m still paying off the Goa loan.3. How can I ensure he pays the lump sum the Dubai court decides, instead of yearly payments until my child turns 18 or 21?4. Can I transfer the property to my daughter’s name and become her sole guardian? He wants a share of the property, even though he never contributed financially.
