My family is planning to buy a 900 sq. yard plot. It’s owned by two brothers, both living abroad. One brother is coming to India with a registered General Power of Attorney (GPA) from his brother. He also has a letter of consent and NOC granting him full rights to sell the property. Can all the sale proceeds be directed to the GPA holder’s account? My family owns ancestral land in a village, known locally as a ‘wada’. We’ve been facing issues with other joint occupants. While they were allocated their share based on old ‘hakka patra’ documents, their names still appear in the land records. Despite requests, the panchayat and registration office haven’t provided records beyond 2009. They haven’t been paying their share of land revenue and have ignored our notices. Can they legally claim ownership if they don’t contribute financially? What steps can I take to remove their names from the records and recover the revenue we’ve paid?

My grandfather, a police officer, owned ancestral farmland in Karnataka. He had two children â€“ my deceased mother and my uncle. My mother was born after 1956 and passed away in 2000, before the 2005 Hindu Succession Act. Some legal sources suggest I’m not entitled to his property. However, another legal provision, Section 6 (3) of the 2005 amendment, states that since my grandfather died after the 2005 Act, I could be eligible as a coparcener. A family’s ancestral land was acquired by a government agency (CITB) based on a supposedly gifted title from an unregistered owner, the daughter-in-law. I’m planning to buy a resale flat under construction in Pune from an investor. The investor has a single agreement with the builder for two flats (301 and 302). I want to buy flat 301, and the other flat is going to another buyer. However, the bank is asking for the original agreement between the investor and the builder to approve my loan. I’m considering buying a flat on a plot of land that was previously an Inam property. I own a 50% share of a property. Two other families each own 25% shares. I’ve lived in the house for 12 years, while they’ve been there for 50 years. Recently, some people started parking their bikes on the property and ignoring my requests to stop. This led to an argument. My tenants have no issue, but someone else is now claiming ownership. I’ve even called the police and a towing service, but the problem keeps recurring. What legal options do I have?

I saw a property a couple of times through an agent. Many other agents also contacted me for the same property. However, I noticed the owner had advertised it directly, so I reached out and bought the flat. The agent who showed me the property later found out I bought it, and started calling me constantly. He took the owner to the police station and forced him to pay half the brokerage fee. He then used the owner’s phone to call me and give the number to the police officer. The officer summoned me to the station and demanded the remaining half. I explained I bought the flat directly, but he threatened me with losing my job and even jail time. He also threatened to come to my company and arrest me in front of everyone. I was forced to pay the amount and leave the station. The agent later told me he’d have to give the officer a cut of the fee. What should I do?

My brother passed away this year, leaving my mother as his nominee instead of his wife due to trust issues. Now, his wife is seeking a succession certificate for herself. We’re concerned about how this will affect my mother and her ability to secure the future of her grandchildren. My family has 6 siblings, all living in Varanasi and getting on in years. They want to transfer their shares in a property in Bangalore to their two younger brothers.
