I’ve been working at a company for the past 4 months. They mentioned a probation period verbally, and I trusted them and started working. Each time I asked for an offer letter, my manager gave excuses and promised to provide it later. I received my salary every month, so I kept believing him. Recently, they gave me the offer letter, but some clauses were unclear. When I asked to see the company policy, they said it was still being finalized. They tried to convince me to sign, saying the policies don’t matter, but the letter clearly stated it should be signed on or before my start date, which was 4 months ago. They even threatened to sue me for taking the salary. What should I do in this situation?

My father passed away in 2001 leaving his property to my mother. Sadly, she passed away in 2015. After that, my brother, sister, and I signed legal documents transferring ownership of two properties to me and one property to my brother. As a working woman, I’ve always supported my husband and daughter since we married. Unfortunately, he wasn’t employed and struggled with alcohol, often mismanaging our finances.
