I retired from the Indian Navy as a Petty Officer on 31st May 2003. I was promoted to Petty Officer on 1st February 2003, but I only served for a few months in this rank before retiring. I’m a seasoned design engineer with 15 years of experience. Back in June 2012, I joined a US-based multinational company in Bangalore, led by an NRI woman who, let’s just say, had a very particular management style. It felt like she ran the place as her own personal kingdom, without much regard for established procedures. From the start, I found it difficult to showcase my skills, constantly being assigned tasks that didn’t utilize my expertise. The lack of clear policies and her quick-to-fire approach left many experienced professionals feeling stuck.After six months, I was made a permanent employee. But the situation didn’t improve. I continued to be assigned menial tasks, and despite consistently delivering, I faced criticism without any concrete explanations. In February 2014, I suffered a severe knee injury, requiring me to take a few days off. While unable to physically be at the office, I remained connected through VPN and continued to complete my work. However, to my surprise, I was abruptly terminated on the 19th, accused of poor performance.This termination happened despite the company’s own agreement requiring them to provide a month’s notice or pay. They refused to let me discuss the situation, demanding an immediate resignation. When I refused, they terminated me. They also unfairly deducted my entire tax from my salary, despite me providing details of my investments, promising to issue a Form 16 later.The timing of this termination was particularly devastating, as I was scheduled for knee surgery on the 23rd. The company was aware of my situation, yet they terminated me before I could utilize their insurance. The sudden loss of income meant I couldn’t afford the surgery and had to cancel it.I feel this was an incredibly unfair act, and I’m seeking legal advice. I’ve tried contacting them multiple times to appeal the decision, but I received a legal notice accusing me of harassment. I’m now seeking expert advice on my options. What are my chances of successfully challenging their actions in a court of law? Are there any legal professionals in Bangalore who could take up my case? I’ve also heard about filing a writ in the High Court. Any guidance on these options would be greatly appreciated.

I filed a complaint on September 14th at Badalpur Police Station in Dadri, Greater Noida, against someone who tricked me out of â‚¹3,50,000. We reached a compromise in front of the SHO, where I received â‚¹1,70,000 and three cheques of â‚¹40,000 each. However, these cheques bounced in March, April, and May. There’s still a remaining â‚¹13,000 owed to me. Now, this person is ignoring me and even submitted a false affidavit claiming I received the full amount and the case is closed. What steps can I take to get justice?
