In accordance with Islamic law, what are the inheritance rights of an unmarried daughter compared to her brothers in her parents’ property? Additionally, if a paternal aunt passed away before her mother, are her children entitled to inherit a share of the property? Given that the property belongs to our grandparents, how will the shares be distributed amongst my uncles, aunts, and myself?

My father bought a plot of land, about 4000 square feet, in 1978 and built a small house on it. He passed away in April 2006, leaving behind my mother, myself, a son, and two daughters. One daughter got married in 1981 and separated in 1983. She lived with us until 2014, but then decided to live with my other sister who was married in 1983. My mother passed away in December 2015.As a Muslim, I’d like to understand how the property should be divided according to Islamic law. What are my rights, and what are the rights of my sons? I have one daughter and two sons. Can you please explain the process of dividing the property fairly?

My sister’s husband lives abroad and hasn’t been in touch. We’ve filed a criminal case against him, but now want to pursue a divorce by mutual agreement. We need to get back her jewelry, worth about 10 lakhs. Her in-laws are demanding she drop the criminal case before signing the divorce papers and are refusing to return the jewelry until after the divorce petition is filed. Our family has a joint property, registered in the names of my grandfather and his brother, covering 14,000 square feet. My grandfather has six children (four brothers and two sisters), and my grandmother has passed away. His brother has two daughters, and his wife is still alive. As this property is in joint ownership, how would it be divided? Should it be split equally between the two families, giving each 7,000 square feet, or divided into 9 parts (6 for my grandfather’s children and 3 for his brother’s daughters) with each person receiving 1,555 square feet? We are Hindus, so what are the legal implications for dividing this ancestral property?

I’ve been talking to this guy on WhatsApp and calls for the past few months. He’s been living and working in Munich, Germany for the last three years, but he’s originally from India, just like me. I joined a new job on December 7th and resigned on March 3rd, but I didn’t have to complete a notice period because I hadn’t worked for three months. Out of courtesy, I stayed an extra week to finish up paperwork and hand over my work. My resignation was approved after I completed everything.
