I joined a startup a year ago, everything was great initially. But after six months, our salaries started getting delayed – first by 10 days, then 20, and then for two whole months. The management kept assuring us everything would be fine, but now they haven’t paid us for five months! They just gave us a small token of ₹5,000 this month, which is a drop in the bucket compared to what I’m owed. When we ask the management, they don’t have any answers. I recently found a new job, as I had no other choice. I completed my notice period and left the company, but I can’t let my five months of salary go. What should I do?

I’ve been working as a Senior Branch Manager at Bank of India since August 2012. Recently, in May 2016, the bank revised its promotion policy. Now, to be considered for promotion from Scale III to IV, we must have worked in rural or semi-urban branches. This requirement doesn’t apply to other promotions.
