I was a lecturer at a college for a few years. My appointment letter had a two-month notice period, and they kept my original certificates. Due to a serious medical emergency, I couldn’t fulfill the notice period. Now, the college management is demanding two months’ salary to release my certificates, even after I submitted a medical certificate. Is there any way I can get my certificates back without paying this amount under these circumstances? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My wife joined the Karnataka Irrigation Department in 2003. She was transferred to the Public Works Department (PWD) in July 2016 after completing the necessary procedures. However, in 2017, the Irrigation Department issued a circular asking for the reversal of her 2016 transfer. Since the Irrigation and PWD were merged departments when my wife joined in 2003, could we challenge this circular by filing an appeal with the Karnataka Administrative Tribunal? I joined a recruitment firm in India a couple of months ago, but realised the role wasn’t right for me. When I resigned, they pressured me to quit without serving my notice period, threatening to deduct my salary (around â‚¹10,000). I’m willing to complete my notice, but they’re refusing. I’m a professor at a Deemed University funded by the Central Government, with over 30 years of dedicated service. I was abruptly fired from my job as General Manager for Land and Legal at a well-known company in India. I joined in April 2011, but wasn’t informed about their ‘Own your car’ scheme until April 2013, when they started deducting Rs. 20,000 per month from my salary even though I didn’t buy a car.
