My marriage took place in 2007 and a year later, I had a daughter. Unfortunately, my husband and in-laws started mistreating me and eventually forced me out of the house. We went through a panchayati divorce, and they took my daughter. However, I couldn’t bear to live without her and we reconciled after two months. This pattern repeated three times – we would separate and then reunite. Later, I had a son, but after three years, I was again forced out, and my husband kept both children. Last September, he filed a case under Section 9, which was dismissed after four months. I have been separated from my children for a year now and I desperately want them back. I am struggling financially and can’t afford a legal battle. Please guide me on how to proceed. I need my children back, please help me.

My 498A case was dismissed by the High Court in December 2012. My brother’s family didn’t challenge this in the Supreme Court. But, in October 2013, they filed a defamation case.
