My husband filed for divorce in 2009, and I filed for conjugal rights. We have a 10-year-old daughter. Despite counseling, he’s only interested in divorce. I’m tired of this. He’s a scientist at DRDO, a central government employee earning around â‚¹1.5 lakhs per month. He owns a house and car. I currently receive â‚¹15,000 per month as interim maintenance. I’m an MBA graduate and run a daycare, preschool, and tuition centre.The court has ordered us to complete the case by April. However, February and March are exam months, making it difficult for me to attend court. The judge insists I appear, threatening an ex-parte judgment if I don’t. I’m not interested in reuniting with him.I was thinking of asking for â‚¹50 lakhs, but he’s only willing to offer â‚¹10 lakhs. What should I do? How much can I realistically ask for? Would it be better to appeal to the High Court after getting the lower court judgment?

My marriage happened on 18th February, 2014. My wife has a mental health issue which my in-laws concealed from me. The day she came home, she started abusing everyone. When I informed my in-laws, my mother-in-law said she was on medication and didn’t know what was happening. Despite my efforts to support and distract her, the situation continued.
