My wife left our home in Mumbai about 10 months ago. We have two daughters, one is 3 years old and the other is 2. My wife has the younger one, while I have the elder. Recently, my wife, her father, and her mother physically attacked me. I filed a police report (FIR) and got medical attention. While my complaint is still under investigation, my father-in-law also filed a separate complaint against us. He claims we attacked him and threatened him. My wife and I have been separated for four months due to a decision by the Women’s Commission. However, my father received anticipatory bail because the police found her accusations to be false and lacking evidence. She has also repeatedly harassed my parents and grandparents. I got married twice in a temple, the second marriage right after my divorce, but before the final divorce decree. I didn’t register the second marriage, only mentioning it to my lawyer.
