My Micromax tablet has been stuck in the service centre for over two months! It’s been sent back for repair three times for the same issue. I’m thinking of asking for a new tablet or an extended warranty with compensation. Before I approach the consumer court, I want to send a legal notice. How do I go about it? If I send the notice and then decide against going to court, even if Micromax doesn’t respond, will I face any legal issues? Also, what’s the cost involved in sending a legal notice?

Five years ago, while serving as Treasurer of our Apartment Association, our cashier misappropriated ₹50,000. He confessed to the wrongdoing. The Association’s General Body decided to file a police complaint to recover the funds. A complaint was filed, but the money was not recovered. Now, the current office bearers have passed a resolution demanding that I, the Treasurer at that time, reimburse the Association. Is this resolution legally valid? What are my options?

My flat at Amrapali Silicon City in Noida was booked on April 14th, 2011, with a promised possession date of September 2013, within 2 years of booking. Respected Sir/Madam,I recently booked a plot in Madurai from a builder and paid an advance of ₹2 lakhs through an SBI cheque. The builder later requested 80% of the remaining amount in cash, which I’m not comfortable with.
