In September 2015, I was at a company meeting in a Kolkata hotel. During lunch, I took the elevator from the 4th floor banquet hall. Suddenly, the automatic lift plummeted to the ground floor, causing me severe injuries, including a torn ligament. We, a group of 18 homebuyers, are fighting a case in the NCDRC. We booked our flats back in 2012, promised possession in February 2016, but only 15% of the construction is complete. The builder, suddenly claiming dedication, has started working at full speed. Will this affect our case? I recently received an allotment for a B-type dwelling unit from the Indian Welfare Organisation (IRWO) in Chennai. The brochure mentioned an open car parking space, but the approved plan shows only a two-wheeler parking spot. Mujhe 2012 mein Greater Noida West ke Premia Corporate City mein 240 sq. ft. ki ek shop book karni thi, jiske liye maine 20.5 lakh rupees ki total cost chukani thi. We booked office space in Gurgaon, part of a larger project including retail, offices, and a luxury hotel. The project is delayed, and though we received compensation, it’s not enough. The project isn’t fully functional, just partially built, and they pressured us to take possession. We did, to protect our investment, but can’t lease because the rest of the project isn’t ready.
