I’ve paid half the price for my flat, but the project’s appreciation has been slow. The builder never asked for the remaining payment, saying I could pay later. Now, he’s demanding 24% interest on the balance for two years! He claims he and my father have a good relationship, so he never pressed for the rest. We had an agreement too, but it felt like a formality at the time. Later, I discovered a connecting road to another society and nearby plots were also for sale – information he never shared. I’m really unhappy with the project and want out. How can I avoid paying interest on the balance?

I booked two train tickets for Rs. 3,124 on December 31, 2016, through Makemytrip, to travel to Chennai on January 1, 2017, at 5:10 PM. On the day of travel, I received a message from the bus operator saying the journey was cancelled. Sadly, I missed that message, and when I reached the station, there was no bus until 5:30 PM. I called the bus operator’s number from my e-ticket and they claimed they had informed me about the cancellation and offered a refund. I booked a different bus and traveled to Chennai, but haven’t received my refund yet, despite calling the bus operator and lodging a complaint with Makemytrip on January 13, 2017. I haven’t received any updates from Makemytrip, and the bus operator now claims they’ve already transferred the refund. What should I do?

I invested in the Homested Sohna Sector 215 project about two years ago. The project was soft launched, and I paid ₹9.5 lakhs for a 2 BHK apartment. However, the project hasn’t officially launched yet. Homested says they will refund my money without interest and provide a post-dated check four months after submitting my refund application. This means I’ll have to wait another six months to get my money back. Is it possible for me to get my money refunded with interest? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
