Respected Sir/Madam,Namaste! I hired a lawyer 30 days ago to file a criminal petition in the Chennai High Court. He assured me the petition was filed within 15 days and provided me with a case number. However, when I checked on the court website, there’s no information about my case.Could you please advise me on how to verify if my petition has been filed? I’m concerned that the lawyer might not have actually filed it and gave me a fake case number.

I’m facing a difficult situation. Two businesses, a scrap dealer and a welder, have set up shop right next to my house. They create a lot of noise throughout the day and generate a huge amount of garbage, attracting pests and posing health risks. Sadly, they seem to have connections with the local police, making it hard to stop them. Could you please advise on how I can file a complaint to get them to move? Respected Sir,My neighbors have built their stairs extending 4 feet onto the road, reducing the passage from 12 feet to just 4 feet. This makes it impossible to move building materials for my house. The property papers clearly state that each house should leave a 4-foot space for the road. Despite repeated requests, they haven’t removed the stairs. We renewed our contract with a driver’s syndicate in Bangalore on September 21st, 2016, for three months after paying them a deposit of ₹30,000. We have a copy of the agreement. The driver stopped working, claiming the company hadn’t paid him his dues. We told the driver’s agency we no longer wanted his services and asked for our deposit back, along with the driver’s unpaid wages. Now, the driver is harassing us and threatening legal action. He received partial payment from the agency and still demands his salary from us, despite our full payment to the company. The company isn’t responding properly. They say we should pay the driver because we broke the contract, but refuse to return our deposit.

My family is Hindu. I’m the elder brother, and I registered a settlement deed with my younger brother for my land. The agreement was that he would get the right to the first floor after repaying my loan, and meanwhile, I allowed him to build his house there.Later, he started disrespecting me and my wife.
