Respected Sir/Madam,I’ve been serving in the CISF for the past 18 months. I was selected in the 2011-12 batch but my candidature was initially cancelled due to a past legal matter. After a successful legal challenge, I was reinstated and allotted seniority with my 2011-12 batchmates. However, I’m concerned about promotions. My batchmates are being promoted quickly, but my 5 years of service haven’t been completed yet. Will I be eligible for promotion in this situation?

I gave a token amount by cheque (made out to the owner) to an agent for a flat in Mumbai. The owner is currently in the UAE. I decided to cancel the deal within three days of giving the token money, informing them through WhatsApp. However, there was no formal agreement or contract outlining the payment schedule or receipt of the token money. I’m requesting a refund, minus a reasonable amount, but the owner refuses to return any money, claiming that since I cancelled the deal, no refund is applicable.

I’ve rented out my ground floor apartment in a residential complex. From day one, my tenant has been dealing with unbearable noise from the basement pumps. Other neighbours are also facing the same issue. I immediately contacted the association office seeking a solution, but it’s been over 3 months and nothing concrete has been done.
