Respected Sir, I began my basic military training on June 25th, 2015. After four months, I faced some mental difficulties and went absent without leave for over 30 days, totalling 80 days. I eventually returned to the camp, but was told I couldn’t continue training due to the absence exceeding 30 days and was discharged. Sir, is there any possibility for me to rejoin the service? My relative, an army widow, is facing difficulties in getting her pension. Her late husband served in the army and had two marriages. His first wife passed away after a few years, and he remarried. He retired in November and passed away in July. Now, his second wife, who has a son, is trying to claim the pension but the army offices are refusing, citing a rule against plural marriages. His first wife had three daughters, two of whom are married. The youngest daughter is under 18 and can’t get married yet. The army offices are suggesting the pension be given to the stepdaughter and transferred to the second wife after her marriage or when she turns 25. Is there any way the pension can be directly transferred to the second wife?

I’ve consistently received excellent performance ratings in my annual confidential reports for the Indian Railways, with “Outstanding” in 2010-11, “Very Good” in 2011-12 and 2012-13, “Good” in 2013-14, and “Very Good” again in 2014-15. I joined the Indian Air Force as a trainee, directly recruited for a specific trade. During my initial enrollment, I wasn’t informed about any policy regarding training in this trade. After serving 34 years as a Captain in the Indian Army, I was transferred to the pension establishment on March 1st, 2007. My initial pension was set at Rs. 14,775 per month, which I believe was incorrect. Based on my final salary of Rs. 32,290 (including basic pay, grade pay, and MSP), my monthly pension should have been Rs. 16,145. This discrepancy was rectified on September 23rd, 2012, and my pension was adjusted accordingly.
