My father passed away, leaving behind a single-room apartment for us four brothers. The society transferred it to our mother’s name. Sadly, my two younger brothers passed away, and then my mother passed away last September. As the second son, I live separately after my marriage. Now, my elder brother is trying to claim the entire property. He has my aunt’s support, who lives there. While she verbally confirmed that I’m included in the nominee list, she refuses to provide any written proof. Whenever I bring this up, she either ignores me or gets upset. My parents are both from Kerala, and they have a house there. After my father passed away two years ago, my mother legally transferred the house to me. We all live together in West Bengal. The deed was written in Malayalam, which I don’t understand, so I relied on my cousin in Kerala to handle everything.I recently declared this property to my government office, as required by their rules. My father passed away a few years ago. After his death, my stepmother and her friend (now a prominent leader) pressured my sister and me into signing documents that transferred 3 acres of our family land to them in August 2010. They claimed it was to settle a debt my father owed them. Then, in August 2015, my stepmother registered another 2.5 acres in her friend’s name and 2.5 acres in her daughter’s name, this time without our consent. Living in Pune, we bought a flat from a well-known builder in a 140-apartment condominium. The builder individually sold parking spaces along with the flats. Now, the condominium committee wants to rent out 16 vacant parking spaces. Since the land doesn’t belong to the committee, can they legally rent these spaces? I’m concerned as I don’t have easy access to my second car’s parking spot. The committee rejected my idea of creating an emergency parking space beside my spot.
