My love marriage in November 2012 turned sour after a year. My husband started prioritizing his family, and they began to mistreat me emotionally and physically. I reached out to my father, and we went back to my family home. Since then, he hasn’t contacted me or shown any remorse for his actions. He even misbehaved with my family members. My father had given him 2 lakh rupees when we were newly married. After six months at home, he returned to his family. My parents visited him again, but he was rude to them. I accepted a job offer but had to decline it due to personal reasons a week before my start date.
