I received a â‚¹25,000 penalty for an excise matter back in 2007. I appealed against it, but haven’t heard anything from the court since. Now, I have a hearing on October 20th. If I don’t attend, will my appeal be rejected? If so, would I only have to pay the â‚¹25,000 penalty, or would there be interest added on top?
