My grandfather leased out a piece of land to a tenant with a registered lease agreement. Now, the government wants to acquire that land for a new road. My grandfather’s property was divided among his three sons, including my father. Dad inherited one-third of the land. After his passing in 1999 and my mother’s in 2010, I’m unsure how the property will be divided amongst us four siblings (two brothers and two sisters).
