My elderly father owns a residential property in Gautam Nagar, behind AII. He’s given me legal power of attorney for this property, registered with the High Court in Nainital, Uttarakhand. My marriage in 1997 was blessed with a son in 1998. However, my husband left me in 1999 and I only discovered later that the divorce was fraudulent. He remarried in 2011 and has two children now. Hi, I’m in Pune and my father recently passed away. He owned 3 acres of land in Osmanabad district, but he didn’t leave a will. Now, my mother and siblings want to transfer the land to ourselves, but the Tehsildar in Osmanabad is asking for a court certificate stating we are the legal heirs.I’m confused about a few things:1. Is this court certificate really necessary? Would birth certificates be sufficient?2. We hired a lawyer, and after the court hearing, he said we need to pay stamp duty on the land to get the certificate. I don’t understand which certificate he applied for or why stamp duty is required.3. What kind of certificate do we need for transferring the land? Where can I get this certificate? I’ve heard there’s a certificate that doesn’t mention property details and can be used for other things like transferring utility bills.I’m feeling really frustrated with this whole process. Can you please help me understand?

My in-laws filed a false complaint against me, leading the police to register a case under Section 107-151 of the CrPC. On the night of November 1st, 2015, they came to my house around 11 PM and started shouting at us. I called the police at 12:02 AM, and both a PCR van and a police bike arrived by 12:07 AM. They asked me to visit the Shahdara Police Station, where they inquired about any injuries. I denied having any. They then escorted me in my own car to GTB Hospital for a medical examination, accompanied by a police constable. Returning to the police station, they again asked if I was injured, and I again denied it. They then asked me to sign a document, which I did. After that, they took me to the lock-up. The next day, my wife filed a statement against me at the Sessions Court.
