My father passed away six to seven months ago. I’m the nominee on most of his bank accounts, but my sisters have the bank documents. We’re not sure if he left a will as his locker hasn’t been opened yet. Should I claim the entire amount as the nominee or should we reach an agreement with my sisters? I bought a plot of land in January 2013. The seller agreed to clear the land and show us its boundaries within two months, after which I was to pay him the final amount. We asked him to return the signed agreement and collect his payment on the 10th of January, but he claimed he couldn’t find it and requested a bank transfer. We refused to pay without the agreement. On the 19th, he promised to bring it. However, he only returned with the agreement when we showed him the money, grabbed it, and ran away.
