I’m currently working as a Stenographer cum Clerk in a company. I filed a case to be considered for promotion as Office Manager. Now, there’s another promotion opportunity for Labour Welfare Officer. My family owns land in Uttarakhand, but the original owner lives in Gurgaon. We were ready to register the property but the office was closed. My grandfather bought a property in Uttar Pradesh in 1966 using proper documents. He gave it to a milkman who used it to keep his buffaloes. A few years ago, we asked him to vacate, but he refused. We fought a case in court and won in 2006. We need to execute that order. However, we recently discovered that this land was acquired by the Uttar Pradesh government under the Land Acquisition Act of 1894 in 1972 and handed over to an Improvement Trust. We have a copy of the notification and Land Acquisition papers, but we were unaware of this and were not informed about it until 2016. The compensation of Rs. 220 was not claimed by anyone.1.
