My marriage is just a year old, and my wife filed a police complaint accusing me of harassment, dowry demands, and family pressure. She claims I’m not a man. I was granted bail, and we had counseling with the inspector. My wife told the inspector she needs financial security and wants a separate house with me, but only if I live away from my parents. I agreed to a gynecological medical test, which proved normal. I submitted the results to the police and my wife. Now, my wife and her family are asking for an apology and want to live together separately (meaning I need to live away from my parents). My parents agreed to this, and we’ve been living in a separate house for two months. I’ve been trying to get the FIR canceled for the past two months but the inspector is unavailable, and when she is available, she gives me excuses. Can you suggest ways to get the FIR canceled?

My family owns a three-story building in Mumbai, with the land registered in all our names. There’s no formal division of the property. Can one of us sell their share to someone else without first dividing the property? Would it be enough if the other family members sign as witnesses on the sales deed? What documents are needed for this kind of transaction?

My father passed away in an accident two years ago. We want to transfer his property to my mother’s name. Is the process similar to selling it to someone else, like paying stamp duty, or are there different legal steps involved? What would the average cost be for these procedures, and how long would it take to complete?

My grandfather, who passed away recently, owned a property he bought in the 1980s. He had two sons and three daughters. My aunt, the eldest daughter, unfortunately passed away after having two sons. Her widower remarried and has a son and daughter. My uncle, my grandfather’s second son, has no children. My father, the youngest son, has two children, my sister and me. My other aunts, each have a son and two daughters. My grandfather left the entire property to my uncle, who is now transferring it to someone else. What legal options do I have?

My father passed away, leaving behind his house in Muzaffarpur, Bihar. My elder brother, facing financial pressure for my sister’s wedding, mortgaged the house to a money lender. This was 10 years ago. Unfortunately, he was arrested in a criminal case eight months later and is still in jail. The money lender, taking advantage of the situation, forged documents and has been occupying the house for all these years. He threatened me with violence when I protested. What legal action can I take to reclaim my father’s property?

My teacher appointment was finalized by a single judge, but the department appealed. The High Court dismissed the appeal, and the department went to the Supreme Court, which also dismissed their appeal. The education department has issued an order, but they’re refusing to pay my salary and back pay. The District Education Officer is ready to approve the bills, but the Superintendent is returning them without explanation, likely due to personal reasons. Can I file a contempt case against the Superintendent? What steps can I take to get my salary and back pay, and can I claim any compensation or penalty?

I worked for almost 5 years at BEML in Bangalore and resigned with proper approval before joining HAL Bangalore. When my gratuity claim was denied, I filed a complaint with the Labour Commissioner (ALC) in Bangalore. The ALC ruled in my favor, but BEML appealed to the Deputy Chief Labour Commissioner (DY CLC). The first two hearings were missed by BEML, but their lawyer attended the third hearing and asked for an adjournment. If the appeal ultimately goes against me, what are my options? Also, is my demand for gratuity legally valid? I’m seeking an opinion on these matters.
