I’m concerned about a new law regarding “irretrievable breakdown of marriage”. Has this law been passed by the Lok Sabha and approved by the Supreme Court? Is it being used in courts and is it considered biased towards women? I ask because my wife is threatening to use this law against me. She has already filed false maintenance and domestic violence cases (the maintenance case was dismissed, but the DV case is pending). Now she has stolen my gold and bank fixed deposit receipts.

My father owned a property, and he had three brothers. After his passing, his siblings are demanding a share in the property. I have three payment cheques, but they stole the slip of a Demand Draft (DD) and claim their father made the payment using that DD. The rest of the payments were made in cash. Since the property was purchased by my father, do his siblings have a claim on it? My father worked, but his brothers didn’t, and we rarely interacted. I was born in 1960, making me 58 years old. My father passed away in 1957, just a year after my birth. Now, my paternal aunt, born in 1948, is claiming our ancestral property. My father, who couldn’t read or write, rented out our land in 2006 to a businessman running a brick kiln for Rs. 8,000 per bhigha. The agreement was supposed to end in 2012, but because my father was old and couldn’t understand the papers well, they tricked him into extending it to 2020 at the same rate.
