My friends and I are employees at a five-star hotel in Goa that abruptly shut down on April 1st without any notice or explanation. My grandfather inherited land and a house from his ancestors. After a family split, he received a portion of each. He has two sons, my father and my uncle. My mother, who had two sons, and my aunt, who had one son and three daughters, are no longer with us. My father and uncle remarried and had more children. After my father’s remarriage, he and my uncle began to neglect my brother and me. We lived with my grandfather for 15 years, but they have now accused us of taking all the property from him. This is untrue, as they each built homes for their second wives. Now they’re demanding a property division and my grandfather fears we’ll be left homeless. My husband and I are going through a divorce, and we’re waiting for the 6-month cooling period to end. We filed the case in September 2016 and have a court hearing scheduled for March 2017. We’re both mature adults in our early 40s. Our lawyer wants my father to come to court as a witness and sign a statement saying he will take care of me and doesn’t object to the divorce. I signed a 2-year employment contract with a company in December 2014. It stated 6 months of training, followed by 2 years of work after successful completion. It also mentioned a 3-month notice period after the contract ends. However, I only received 3 months of training before being added to the payroll in March 2015. I’ve now received a job offer from another company. If I resign now, can I simultaneously serve the notice period and the remaining bond period? Or could my current employer create issues, considering the 3-month notice period mentioned after the bond?
