I bought a flat with a covered parking space, but the agreement doesn’t mention the specific space. The builder sent a parking plan with numbers before registration, confirming my space. However, the spaces are different sizes, leading to arguments among owners. The builder hasn’t shared the parking plan with other owners, and physical numbering is also pending. Now, others and the builder want to allocate spaces through a lottery, but I strongly disagree as the builder confirmed my space in writing. My flat is larger than others, and I believe I should get a bigger parking space based on my flat’s size. Is my stand valid?

I live in Korkor village, Cuttack district, a small rural area where many people use government land for everyday needs, like parking or walking. I recently built a boundary on some of this land, but some people are complaining about it. They seem to be motivated by local politics, which I’m not involved in. Back in 1995, my father bought some land in our village using his own hard-earned money. I have a brother and a sister, and my sister’s settled abroad. For the past 5-6 years, I’ve been the sole caretaker of my parents. Recognizing this, my father decided to gift the land to me. I bought two plots in Bhiwadi through a real estate agent, paying in cash. I later discovered the project was a scam, likely a partnership between the agent and the builder. They provided fake receipts, and when I questioned this, the agent issued refund checks and took back my originals. The checks bounced, and now the agent is gone. The person who gave me the fake receipts is still operating in Bhiwadi. I have copies of the receipts and the plot allotment letter.
