Dhruv sir, thank you for your advice. I understand I can reach out to the Women’s Safety Cell or NGOs, but I’m independent. I can support myself financially through my education and job. I feel deeply distressed and exhausted, unsure what to do. Sometimes, the thought of ending it all crosses my mind. Is there a way I can reach out for help? My mother was separated from my father in October 2015. He forced her out of the house and she had to stay with my sister. After a couple of months, he brought her back and tried to get her to remarry him. She managed to escape and went back to my sister’s in April 2016. She doesn’t want to go back to him. My parents, who sadly passed away in 1996 and 2016 respectively, left me a 30×40 property in Palace Guttahalli, Bangalore. I’m trying to divide the property with my brother, but we’re facing difficulties. My father wished for an equal share for me, but unfortunately, he passed away before finalizing a will. My brother claims our mother gave him control of the property and a release order, offering me only 12 feet. However, Sharia Law dictates a 2:1 division, giving me 12.66 feet.
