My father, a Group C employee with the Border Roads Organisation, fell ill during an official trip in 1990 and was left paralyzed. Despite his condition, he never resigned. I took maternity leave from September to November, following our company’s 3-month paid policy. After that, I extended my leave for another 3 months, which was approved.
