My brother and I jointly own our flat. He’s going through a divorce, and his wife, who has the keys, entered the flat without our permission. We changed the outer lock, but she broke it open with the help of some neighbors and made a police report without my consent. The police won’t help, saying it’s a civil matter. What legal action can we take against her and the neighbors?

My marriage is just a year old, and my wife filed a police complaint accusing me of harassment, dowry demands, and family pressure. She claims I’m not a man. I was granted bail, and we had counseling with the inspector. My wife told the inspector she needs financial security and wants a separate house with me, but only if I live away from my parents. I agreed to a gynecological medical test, which proved normal. I submitted the results to the police and my wife. Now, my wife and her family are asking for an apology and want to live together separately (meaning I need to live away from my parents). My parents agreed to this, and we’ve been living in a separate house for two months. I’ve been trying to get the FIR canceled for the past two months but the inspector is unavailable, and when she is available, she gives me excuses. Can you suggest ways to get the FIR canceled?

My father had two children from his first marriage, which ended in divorce forty years ago. He then remarried and had three children, including me. My mother has acquired property over the past decade. Could the children from my father’s first marriage claim a share of this property in the future? My mother doesn’t want to give them anything and wishes to leave everything to us, her three children, through a will. Would this will be legally valid?

My wife left home just a month after our child was born and hasn’t returned. It’s been five months since I last saw my baby. She’s not contacting me, and her family is making the situation worse, completely turning her against me. They’re using harsh language and even physically threatening me. I don’t know where she is, or if they’re taking proper care of my child. Her brother even suggested I take the baby and discuss a divorce. I’m worried about my baby and don’t know what to do. I’m concerned about their well-being and want to ensure they’re safe.

My wife and her father haven’t had much formal education. She lives with me but often visits her father’s home. I’m a government employee. Recently, her father went to the police station and made a complaint against me. The police officer intervened and resolved the issue. However, both my wife and her father continue to cause me trouble. I’m at my wit’s end and don’t know what to do. Could you please guide me?

My elderly mother, 67 years old, lives in her own flat. Her son, who has his own flat, stays with her. He receives no support with food, medicine, etc. His wife sometimes uses abusive language and even threatens violence. The son demands his share of the mother’s property or refuses to leave. We’re worried about her safety and want to help. Can we legally remove them from the house? We are a Muslim family, and any urgent advice would be greatly appreciated.

My husband and I have been married for a while now, and we live separately. Sadly, my mother-in-law passed away last year. My husband regularly visits his parents’ home, where his three brothers and their wives live with his father. One brother is very close to my husband and often asks for financial help. He also tries to persuade my husband to leave me. This has been an issue since the beginning of our marriage. Even when we lived together with the extended family, I noticed a close relationship between my husband and his brother’s wife that I don’t feel comfortable discussing. Even after separating, my husband still spends most of his money and time with his family and doesn’t seem to care about me. Is there any way I can expose this behavior? Can I file a legal case against my husband’s brother, his wife, and my father-in-law for supporting him in this?

I’ve been in a relationship for six years, but I’m still completing my studies in Gurgaon. We belong to the same caste, but the girl’s family is pressuring her for dowry. She wants to marry me, and I want to marry her, but I want to be settled first. We told our families about the relationship, and now the girl’s family is making her life difficult. Her mother constantly torments her, won’t let her study, and creates a tense environment at home. What can we do? I’m ready to marry her once I’m settled, but they’re pushing for a wedding now.

It’s been a year and two months since we got married. My husband is excessively focused on money, even avoiding taxes. He restricts my spending, even on food, to save money. He’s even made me work as a waiter in a restaurant despite my family’s comfortable background. I need advice on how to manage our finances as I believe gaining control over our money is the only way he’ll listen to me.
