I’m a Hindu woman from Maharashtra. In 2012, I married a man from the same caste in Madhya Pradesh. We were from different backgrounds and faced cultural differences, leading to our separation within two months of marriage. We signed a separation agreement on stamp paper before going to the village council. Both of us moved on with our lives. He remarried and has a child.In 2016, I married another man from a similar background. He was also divorced and had a court-ordered decree. Our wedding was a traditional Hindu ceremony.
