I got married on 15th March 2015, and my wife has been living with me ever since. However, for the past month, she, along with her parents, has been constantly harassing me, threatening to harm me, and even using goons to intimidate me. They have also filed false cases to ruin my career because I want to pursue civil services. I want to seek a divorce based on cruelty. How can I do this safely, without them filing further false accusations against me? We did not have any intimate relations for the first 40 days of our marriage, and even after that, it only happened under duress. She refuses to engage in any such activity. Respected Sir,My wife has falsely accused me under sections 498A, 379, 504, 34 of the Indian Penal Code and sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Act. This is completely baseless. On May 14th, 2014, she poisoned me, and I was admitted to the emergency CCU ward at Ruby General Hospital for four days. My divorce case in Bangalore is dragging on. I filed it a year ago, and even though the court sent notices to her through her home state court, there’s no response. My lawyer wants to publish a notice in the paper, but the judge won’t allow it, citing some High Court order. I’m not sure I believe that, as it seems like a common practice elsewhere.
