As a small-scale manufacturing unit owner in Delhi, my wife and I have been running our company for 8 years. Our annual turnover is around â‚¹30 lakhs. We’re facing a tough situation with our current auditor who seems to be taking advantage of us. Despite settling all previous dues, he’s demanding an additional â‚¹1 lakh claiming it’s from the 2014-15 financial year. He hasn’t provided us with complete company data, including crucial sales tax assessments for several years, and even failed to file the Balance Sheet with the ROC for 2014-15. I’ve been working at this Kerala-based company since May 2015 and resigned on July 8th, 2016, with immediate release by July 12th. The company is facing financial trouble and hasn’t paid salaries for the past five months. My appointment letter says I need to serve a three-month notice period or pay in lieu. I asked the company to deduct the notice period from my dues, but they’re not paying my salary or giving me a relieving letter.
