I received my college allotment for college number 3, but they deposited my fees in college number 1, which seems like a mistake. The college is also far from where I live and they’ve been using teachers from another college. When I went to the college to discuss this, they rudely said I was late and that my seat had been vacant for 4 years. They also demanded extra fees for the next semester, claiming it was a High Court order. I have my college brochure which clearly shows the faculty mix-up. What should I do now? I need some advice on how to resolve this.

My son paid a total of 55,000 rupees for admission to an engineering college in 2015, including government counseling fees. He never attended classes due to poor facilities and health issues. When he tried to withdraw admission, the college insisted on a four-year seat blocking fee and two semesters’ fees. They signed an agreement with us and threatened legal action. I had to travel for medical treatment and was away for a while. My private employer never informed me about any outstanding electricity bills, neither during my absence nor before. Upon returning, I found the power disconnected. When I asked to have it restored, they refused and demanded payment from the date of connection. Our building is in dire straits and the developer is refusing to honor the original agreement, instead pushing for terms that benefit them. We’ve tried to reason with them, but they’re not budging. Even worse, our own appointed lawyer and project consultant seem to be working against us.
