My family has been farming our 40-acre land in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh for the past 15 years. This year, the forest ranger is stopping us from cultivating, claiming it’s forest land. The problem is, around 250 acres in this area are disputed between farmers and the forest department. Our village records show a joint agreement for farmers to use this land. However, the forest department uses an older map and insists our farmland is entirely forest land, making farming impossible.What legal options do we have to get a stay order or use land authority to keep farming until the dispute is settled? How long would it take to get a stay so we can plant crops this season?

Respected Sir,I’ve been working as a temporary peon at LIC since March 2009 and continue to do so. I have my pay slips, appointment letter, attendance register, and salary deposited through NEFT. Recently, the Supreme Court passed an order in the TTFTTL v/s LIC case (Civil Appeal No. 6950/2009) on March 18, 2005, regarding absorbing temporary employees.Am I eligible to claim regular employment in LIC based on this Supreme Court decision? I’ve been working as a software professional in a healthcare company for the past three years. The company’s financial situation is tough, and they’ve been deducting TDS from my salary. Our housing society in Bangalore, registered under the Karnataka Society Registration Act of 1960, was developed through a Joint Development Agreement between the builder and the landowner. While the builder has 140 flats and the landowner has 60, leaving a total of 200 flats, some units remain unsold (around 25 by the builder and 30 by the landowner). The landowner has registered two flats in his son’s name, and his son resides in them. Now, the landowner is demanding membership in the society for all 30 unsold flats, claiming ownership and wanting 30 votes in the general body meetings.Our questions are:1. Can the landowner and/or builder be members of the association based on unsold flats?2. Should they have voting rights equivalent to the number of unsold flats, one vote each, or no votes at all?3. Can the landowner’s presence be counted as 30 members for quorum purposes if he gets 30 votes?We’ve maintained that the landowner has only two voting rights as he’s registered only two flats and resides in them. He argues that the Joint Development Agreement grants him ownership of all unsold flats. This raises the issue of the builder’s membership and voting rights as well.We want to ensure fairness and avoid denying anyone their legal rights.A) What approach should we take?B) What property documents prove their right to membership? Currently, we require the first page of the registered sale deed from other residents to verify ownership.

I ordered something online, returned it, and got a refund. But now the company is calling, saying I didn’t pay for the item even though I returned it. They’re saying the refund was a mistake and want me to pay back the money. I checked with my bank and everything looks good on my end. What should I do?
