We’re building our house in Ludhiana and our neighbor has filed a case against us, getting a stay order on construction based on untrue claims. They say we encroached on public land (which is completely false and the municipality will verify), that we had a fight (never happened, no police report), and that we damaged a pole (there isn’t even one there!). We have a court hearing on the 18th to dismiss the stay order. If it’s not lifted, what options do we have? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I worked for a company in Singrauli from November 2016. The owner pressured me to deposit his unaccounted money into my bank account, which I did twice. But on December 28th, I refused. He then fired me. When I went to his office on January 9th to collect my remaining salary, he became violent and assaulted me. He even called the local police superintendent and got me falsely charged under several sections of the Indian Penal Code. The police are not listening to my side of the story and won’t register my complaint. The company owner is very influential and has threatened me with violence. I was taken into custody by the police on May 20th, 2015, around 11 AM. The same day, a local magistrate ordered me to be kept in judicial custody. I arrived at the sub-jail by 7:10 PM. On May 21st, the Additional District Judge granted me bail, and the release orders were issued by the magistrate on May 22nd. I was finally released around 5:20 PM that day.
