Namaste! I downloaded an app called PaySay, similar to Paytm, for online bill payments. I used my debit card to recharge my mobile, but the money didn’t get deducted. I thought it was free for new users and recharged a bit too much. But after two days, the app’s co-founder called and said I had to pay the entire amount. Being a Hindu in Delhi, I’m going through a divorce. We’re aiming for a mutual agreement, but I’m worried her lawyer might be playing a different game. A month ago, I got a message from Indeed about a job interview at GMR. The message told me to contact a number. I called the number, and the person said they would arrange a phone interview because the actual interview was in Delhi. Being a fresher, I was excited and had the interview a few days later. Thankfully, I got selected and received the joining letter. However, they then asked me to pay 20,000 rupees as a joining fee. I know it was silly of me to do it, but I paid. Now, all their numbers are switched off. I went to the police station to file an FIR, but they took the complaint without actually registering it.
