I recently booked a flat under construction, paying around 10-11 lakhs through cheques. I also gave separate cheques for income tax and service tax. Now, I want to cancel the booking, but the builder is charging a 50,000 cancellation fee and refusing to refund the service tax and income tax, which amounts to roughly 1 lakh. My brother was arrested on July 10th and taken into police custody the next day. He’s been in judicial custody since July 16th under sections related to forgery and passport violations. The maximum sentence for these charges is 7 years. I’m confused about the statutory bail period under CrPC 167 â€“ is it 60 days or 90 days?
